Foreign Players in PSL

Here’s the list of all players (Pakistani players as well as foreign players and coaches) who have consented to be part of the Pakistan Super League. The list of Pakistani players is being compiled while the foreign players list can be seen below. All Players included in PSL T20 draft will be distributed in five categories; Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging.

PCB/PSL have selected five icon players where each team of PSL can only select one each. These include Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik from Pakistan along with West Indies opener Chris Gayle, England batsman Kevin Pietersen and Australian all-rounder Shane Watson. These five players will receive $200,000 (2 Crores in Pakistani Rs, as Pakistani players will be paid in Rupees only).

Update: Islamabad won the first pick in players’ draft followed by Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta and Lahore.

The five icons will be followed by 25 players in the Platinum category, who will be receiving $140,000. The other categories are Diamond ($70,000), Gold ($50,000), Silver ($25,000) and Emerging ($10,000).

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced the names of players placed in the platinum category for the inaugural edition of upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL). According to details, seven Pakistani players along with 18 foreign players are placed in platinum category.

Please note these are all players & coaches who have consented to participate in the inaugural season of PSL. There will be at least around 100 foreigners in total in the draft at the time of official start in Feb 2016. Only 20 top players will be selected (based on set value by PCB, experience and other factors) where only 4 foreign players will be selected under each franchise.
