Ten Bangladeshis named for PSL draft

10 players from Bangladesh have been enlisted in the primary list for the tournament. And as usual, Bangladesh’s maverick all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been named in the list with several other big names of T20 cricket. The other Bangladesh cricketers are – Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shahriar Nafees, Mominul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah Riad and Anamul Haque.

PSL will roll onto the ground from 4 February and run till 23 February in the next year. Five teams will participate in this tournament. So, PSL Governing Council has choosen 308 cticketers for this tournament. Among them, 171 foreign cricketers and 137 Pakistani cricketers have been named for the primary list.

They have already been divided into five categories for the tournament. The catageries are – Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging. World’s no.1 all rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been included in the most respectable Platinum category with some other big names.

The supetstars of T20 cricket like Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen, Dwayne Bravo, Darren Sammy, Kumar Sangakkara, Andre Russell, Tilakaratne Dilshan, Shahid Afridi, Brett Lee, Lasith Malinga are also in the Platinum Category.

The other Bangladeshi players have been included in the Gold and Silver category. Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mustafizur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shahriar Nafees have been included in the Gold category while Mominul Haque, Imrul Kayes, Mahmudullah Riad and Anamul Haque have been named for the Silver Category.

Each franchise can take 20 players for their respective team. And they will be allowed to field only four foreign players in every match.
